past volendam cruisers question!

I sailed on the Volendam March 2003, loved it. We enjoyed the Volendam so much we have her booked for March 2005. I think you will enjoy her also. Any specific questions, please ask away.

doone did the pool have walk in steps or ladder? thanks

I'm not Doone (obviously) but the answer to your question is ladder at aft pool for entry into the pool. I think (not positive) it is a ladder at Lido pool as well.

We always go to the aft pool.

I have been on the Volendam twice. I was on her in November, 2001 and I was on her again this past June. I have been on many HAL ships and I have liked most of them. I still put the Volendam at the top of the list. I really like this ship and I don't think you will be choosing a wrong address when you book on the m.s. VOLENDAM

We are booking the Volendam 3/20/05 sailing - (we also found out doone will be on that sailing!) and we can't wait!

I've heard really positive things about the Volendam - I worked with a woman who would ONLY sail on the Volendam after she experienced it for the first time. She'd been on many other HAL ships, but now it's Volendam or nothing.

I am very excited about this trip & itinerary - I think it will be great. :cool:

We sailed on the "Vol" to the Southern Caribbean last October and had a very enjoyable time. Our DR staff were excellent (we actually had 2 "waiters" as one was in his first week and was teamed with an experienced guy), cabin staff were good. Only the wine steward left a bit to be desired.Not that he didn't try hard, but he appeared overwhelmed on occasion.

THe excursion staff bent over backwards to help (two of our choices were cancelled due to lack of interest - for one we were the only ones to sign up! A very, non-active group of pax, I'm afraid).

We'd sail on her again, no problem.
