Statendam Salon

I tried to do a search on the board to get this question answered, but it wouldn't work, so here goes!

We will be on the Statendam for almost a month in September/October so will need to have my nails (acrylics) done. Does anyone have experience recently with the beauty salon's services on the Statendam? :confused:

I've used the manicure service on the Statendaam and I was pleased with their work. I also get acrylic manicures and their work was as good as I get at home but a tad more expensive. I pay $16 at home (plus tip of course) for a refill. I can't remember the price on the ship but I believe it was around $35.

At the end of a land trip in China 10 years ago, I had the world's most expensive manicure (expensive to me, at least) in a hotel in Hong Kong. The hotel was the Oriental or Mandarin Oriental and in 1997 I paid about $65 in American dollars for a fill in! Oh well, I've wasted money on many other things and I really needed the manicure.

Thanks for the reply - I feel better now that I don't have to worry about my nails for the trip - I'll just have the concierge make an appointment for me. Thanks again.
