Has anyone stayed in one of these staterooms that could let me know their thoughts before I book one of them.

You should be aware that the four VH have the steel-wall railings, not plexiglas, and have showers only.
I would suggest that you book either the VH or SZ as guarantees. Since there's few of them you stand a very good chance of getting a free upgrade.

I suggest that if you are willing to spend the extra money, go for the SZ guarantee. You'll definitely appreciate the differences, and since there are so few of them you may get a complimentary upgrade.

We originally were going to book a VF on the ms Zuiderdam but once we found out about the stainless steel railings we booked a SZ guarantee.
Talked to a gal at HAL reservations this am and asked when we would know what cabin we would be assigned and she said it could be as late as when we actually board the ship.
