I just got a reply to my email to TEMSCO helicopters. :DThey said that their contract with HAL for dog sledding on Mendenhall Glacier runs through Sept. 14th and they are confident there will be sufficient snow there!
Now my DW Renée is just praying for good weather in Juneau on Sept. 4th!

That's Great! I did the other Helicoper/Dog Sled tour (it lands on Norris Glacier instead of Mendenhall) in June and it was one of the best tours I've ever taken. Hope your weather is as nice as our was.

We did the helicopter and dog sledding in Juneau in June and it was the best excursion I've ever been on.:)

I also looked into this excursion for Sept. Was told that at times, the dogs do go, but you are pulled in a cart rather then a sled if there is not enough snow.
