Well, we are wheels up to Copenhagen in about 12 hours (pretty much packed too).
While I intend to post from the ship (embarkation the 10th), are there any questions ahead of time from anyone?
I always feel I need to "give back" after all the great advice I have gotten from y'all.
I'll do my best, but no more meatloaf!
Cheers
Mark

Have a wonderful cruise!

there have been a few questions on this board re the presence of a launderette on the Dolphin deck. Opinions are varied as to whether the Dolphin deck has or does not have a launderette with washers & dryers open to pax. Would you knidly check this out andreply?

I ealize this may not be high on your priority list ....and I sure do understand... but an answer to this query would really help solve this isssue.

Another question.. Is the Polish trio (piano, cello, violin) still on the Rotterdam?. If so, do not miss them. they are great.

Cruise on..

Since someone mentioned the Dolphin Deck, I wonder if you could check out cabin 1856 and make sure it is okay, as we have booked it for next May. We have wanted to try one of those cabins that go lengthwise as they appear to maybe be a little more roomy. Also is it noisy down in that area. Don't go to any trouble, just if you happen to be in that area while checking out the launderette. Thank you.

thanks for taking the time away from your vacation to give us some good couch potato material to read. It is much appreciated.

Enjoy your trip! We were on it 2 years ago with my mother, who celebrated her 80th birthday. Now, she is very, very ill, and she will probably not live for long any more. I'm so glad we decided to go then; she will never be able to travel again. It is hard to see her in hospital, that sick, but I will always remember the days we were on the Rotterdam. Just looking at our pictures makes her happy....... memories that will last and last.....

So everybody who is able to travel: remember it could well be the last time.....

Onboard!
Last post on this thread.. will begin a new one anon.:)
Reasonably eventful trip thus far (DW purse stolen at CPH.)
Will try not to let it color our vacation
Stayed at Hotel Kong Arthur. Quaint, especially the "historic" section we were in (read old small and unairconditioned) but as that is what we were expecting, it was perfect for us.
Copenhagen is a lovely city. Marking it down for a longer look.
Hosts can lock this out.

My mother died September 13 last, how I do miss her, but I'm so glad we travelled together, shared these precious moments on the Rotterdam. I have my memories, pictures, video's ........... but how will I ever be able to board again without tears, without missing her, my mother, she was always there for me, my daughter, my grandchildren ..... I cherish my memories and thank God for all those precious time we could spend together. Sorry for this sad posting, had to write it down.

Ventru, my condolences on the passing of your mother. May she rest in peace. Thank you for reminding us of the importance of loving relationships, and how much we need them. God bless you.

Thank you for sharing your feelings with us. My mom will be 85 in Jan. We are taking a cruise with her again to celebrate her birthday this Jan. The last cruise we had together was in 2005. Your words are an encouragement to me to cherish the time we will have together.

I wish I could give you a big hug and a pat on the back. Tears are in my eyes just thinking of your heartache. Your mom sounds like a lovely blessing to you and the rest of your family.

God bless you. You have a wonderful legacy to pass onto your children and grandchildren.

Thank you for your kind words, tears well up. Enjoy your time together, I will always remember my mother, she was such a loving, openminded lady, she did not speak a word English, but she communicated with everybody. She was so special, not only to me, but to many other people. I will continue in her spirit!

I am so sorry for your loss. I know, it really hurts. Please remember the good times. You could take another trip on the Rotterdam and remember your mum and drink a toast to her.
