i keep reading about ship board credits. How does one go about getting these credits. I did not book with Hal, but an independent agent, does that make a difference? I would love to get a ship board credit for anything. thank you:confused:

Sometimes your agent will give it to you. Sometimes it is a promotion. If you have stock in Carnival Corp you can get it. Sometimes your friends and family can set it up for you by buying it as a Bon Voyage gift. I'm travelling with a group and part of it is a $50.00 shipboard credit.
Right now HAL has a promo going for $50.00 shipboard credit that your agent should be able to get for you. I'm not sure of the number but it was on a thread here. :D

If you booked with AAA travel it's promo 7035.......if not I think the majority of us got credits w/ promo 7031.....call and ask your agent .....it can't hurt. Good Luck and let us know!! Chef Nancy:)

I'm trying to get the $50.00/pp credit having booked with CruiseValueCenter. I do have a call into the TA. Is promo 267 just on ***********. That is where I saw that one. Should I mention promo 7031 to CVC. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Michael - 12/04/04 ZuiderdamI learned about promo 267 through a mailer from my TA (not ***********), so it's not limited to any one particular agency. I would mention both promos to your TA and let them (hopefully) do the work for you. Unfortunately, you won't get any info if you call HAL directly.

Actually, I did e-mail HAL directly, since I booked directly with them. They contacted me 3 days later to state that yes, promo 7032 did apply to my cruise and the credit was being added to my account. I'm happy!

I was on the Rotterdam last March and booked the Volendam for March 2005, I received $75 per person, upto $150 per cabin, shipboard credit for the Volendam. My cruise is 10-days, I believe its $50 per person, upto $100 per cabin, for 7 day cruises.

I contacted my TA after reading about the credits on this board. Mariners got $50.00 pp and non-Mariners got $25.00pp for all 13 in our group. I believe the code was 7031 and we are on the Ryndaam Mexican Riviera Christmas Cruise.;)

Tammar, this info is under another thread, but I rec'd my shipboard credit from my TA today using the 7031 code. We're sailing on the Zaandam in December. Since we booked a K category cabin the credit was only $25 per person, but an extra $50 sounds great to me!
I was hesitant to call, but I was encouraged by everyone on these boards. Give it a whirl!!
