Can I buy large conch shells - the kind that polynesians use to blow like a horn - from Key West, Grand Cayman, or Cozumel? Does anyone know if we're allowed to bring one back to the US? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you can find conch shells in Key West, Jamaica and Cozumel and yes, you may bring them back.
In Key West there is a huge sea shell warehouse not far from cruise ship dock (Mallory Square). You can find any kind of shell in there. On Duval Street you will also find conch shells for sale. In Jamaica you will find them at the booths run by locals. In Cozumel you can find them for sale at the beach bars and also at the downtown stores.

Great! Do you know where the better price will be - Key West or Cozumel? Thanks a lot!

There is a little store on Duval. I cannot remember the name of it. It is on a corner. It may be in the same block as Margaritaville on that same side of the street. It has Conch Shells in a barrel in the front of the store and also quite a few in the back of the store. They were $8-$10 when I was there a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember the price of them in the shell warehouse.
In Cozumel they were cheaper at the beach bars. There were $2 for small ones and $5 for larger ones. Good luck.

I bought a very large one in Roatan. A young boy was selling them on the pier as soon as we got off the ship. He had obviously dove for them himself. I gave him $10 for his efforts.
