I've heard that the Westerdam went into dry dock for some sprucing up. Has anyone been on the ship lately. I booked for a late February cruise on this ship.

There's been lots of traffic on this board about Westerdam's drydock changes, which involved a lot more than mere sprucing up. In brief, major changes were made to aft decks 6 and up, plus major changes to public rooms including addition of the Explorations Cafe next to the Crow's Nest.

Suggest you search this board for "Westerdam" and the terms "aft lift" and "retrofit" - but not until you have time to do a LOT of reading! :D

Yes it is great. Others we met had been on the Ship a couple of years ago and said it looked totally different

We sailed on the Westerdam in 2005 and have a cruise booked on her in 2008. I hear that the Crow's Nest now has the Exploration's Cafe????
