Hello,
Is anyone out there going to be on the Wonder for the Sept 12th sailing. This is our first Disney cruise. We have a 2 1/2 year old coming with us. OK, what is this I hear about the secret porthole cabins?

SPH rooms are outside cabins, but Disney classifies them as inside because they have obstructed views. You basically get a window for free. There are 6 cabins (5020, 5022, 5024, 5520, 5522 and 5524), located on Deck 5. 5020 & 5520 have the least obstruction and the others are adjoining. Check out www.castawayclub.com (http://www.castawayclub.com). There are photos of each room.

We are the following week doing the 4 day with a veranda cabin. We have no kids but we are still excited. Our first Disney cruise.

Although I have not cruised Disney before I have cruised several times in the fall. Only twice did I even feel the storms. The first was in the gulf on the old Carnival Tropicale-a ship that was 20 years old. The second time on the way to Bermuda from NY on the old Pacific Princess (the orginial love boat) a 30 year old ship. I have been in other storms but on newer ships. On newer ships the stablizers are so good you barely feel them; plus storms are worse in the gulf and on the way to Bermuda.
Hurricane season actually starts in June and goes until Dec. 1 which is a six month period. Lots of people cruise in these months so don't worry.
