I am looking for a very inexpensive hotel in Downtown Boston. Which Hotel would you suggest? Where is the pier in Boston?

Have you considered priceline? I stayed at the Hyatt in the Financial District of Boston last month for $45. Go to biddingfortravel.com for bidding strategies and for recent bid information in Boston. Hope this helps.

The City of Boston is a walkable city so most things are close to each other. If you do a search on Black Falcon Pier it will take you to the Massport (agency in charge of pier) web page where you should be able to see where the pier is in relation to the downtown area.

AuntieBon - I want to tell you that I did one day pre and post cruise in Boston, and fell in love with the city. What a fabulous city! I know 2 days was hardly enough, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I look forward to going back.

Thanks for the nice comments re: our fair city, Exalt Him. :) Now that the DNC is over, we will get our city back.
Black Falcon Cruise Terminal is about 10-15 minutes through the Ted Williams Tunnel from Logan Airport. Hyatt Hotel about the same depending upon traffic. Alot of cruisers have been booking Hyatt Financial Center this summer and have gotten good prices on Priceline. They seem to have been satisifid with the hotel. Be sure you are not booking the Cambridge Hyatt. That would not be as convenient. It wouldn't be a major headache but it does not suit nearly as well for cruisers.
