Speaking of Hurricane (or Trop Depression) Erin, 'way down south, it reminded me of another Hurricane Erin that I sort of experienced a few years ago on a cruise to New England and Canada.
Back when you could buy an unlimited time package in the Internet Cafe, I was following the path of Hurricane Erin via the NOAA satellite. This was around 2001, I think, maybe the second week of September. We were on the leading edge of it all the way up the NE/C coast, going about the same speed and being slightly buffeted. "Slightly" is a subjective term, depending on whether you spent your earlier days on a boat, as I did, or grew up in the flatlands, as the green-faced people apparently did.
I thought it was just a bit of a roll and some moderate seas; others thought it was The Poseidon Adventure.
