I'm considering a flight that will take me into Orlando's Sanford Airport not Orlando international as it's quite a lot cheaper, but I'm having a hard time finding transfers from Sanford to the cruise port. Disney does not offer it. Has anyone done this? Will it be so much more expensive that my flight savings will be cancelled out? Advise please!

DCL does not do transfers from Sanford. You would have to look into a limo or towncar or possibly renting a car or get to MCO and use DCL transfers. Good luck.

by MCO do you mean the Orlando Intl. Airport?

Yes, sorry. Not sure if they offer transportation between the two. But DCL busses run from Orlando to the port and are not hard to find once you are there.

We have flown to Sanford many times out of ABE airport. It is a good deal. Sanford is much easier to travel to and from than MCO. We have always gone on to WDW not the cruise, but there are several companies that will take you to Port Canaveral. If you go to the website for Sanford Airport, under limos/shuttles there are a bunch or companies listed. We have used Tiffany Towncar which isn't on the list. They picked us up and took us to Grand Floridian. I think it was around $200 for a van that could seat up to 9.

Another thing to do is rent a car and drive yourself. It is a very easy drive and you could probably get a minivan for like $75. You drive to the rental car company in Port Canaveral and they take you on a shuttle bus (5 minutes to the pier). We were recently on a cruise that had Port Canaveral as a stop and rented a car there for a day.
