:) 5 days and counting. Cannot believe the last 8 months have actually passed. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was just starting to plan for my first cruise and now I have less then a week to pull it all together.

Followed the advice of many CCers and am flying in a day early. I have scheduled an SUV to pick up our 2 families and at least 8 pieces of luggage (4 adults 2 pieces each) plus carryon. Does this sound to excessive? I'm afraid if we only take one a piece we won't have any room for souvenirs.

My question of the day is how to return to the airport. Since I haven't found the perfect plan to never disembark yet. We have plenty of time to make there, but not really any time for sighting.
Is there a shuttle from the pier to the airport? Anyone know the cost?
Should I schedule the SUV again?
Are there taxi just waiting to pick people or do you need to schedule in advance? Anyone know the cost by any chance?

Once again, can't thank you all enough for you advice :D .

I am thinking that the van you are using to get to the port is probably the best way to return, given the size of your groups and assorted luggage.

Why not schedule it for 9:30 and enjoy your last early morning onboard.

Have a fabulous cruise.

Am I missing something.....or have you not told us the city where all this is going to happen?

Ask the guy who drives you to give you his card and call them ASAP and schedule a return pick-up!!!

Don't delay, we do this all the time (if we like the driver/service/car) - if you don't - when onboard, use the internet to search for someone else... or take a cab.

We've found limos "just" standing by in many cruise ports though, so if you are stuck, look around and then negotiate. :)

I always carry the names and numbers of local companies on my Blackberry, in case.
