I'm looking at the possibility of the "holiday" Hawaii cruise. I'm a Buddhist and do not observe Christmas, and I'm wondering just how Christmas-y the holiday cruise would be. Would it be all Christmas, all the time? Would the bands play only Christmas music?

Well, there's definitely an overall "Christmas" theme on the ship, but it won't be incessant or ubiquitous. There will be special menus for Christmas and New Year's, but there are also other menu options, such as vegetarian. If Hanukkah and Christmas coincide, you will have a rabbi on board and menorah lighting. Many of the crew are muslim, and have their own mosque, located in the crew quarters. You may find that the crew and other pax will be interested to learn more about Buddhism from you. (I know I would). :) A cruise ship is quite a mixture of cultures!
