Can anyone tell me if there is a preferred suite on The Noordam. I would love to include the Penthouse Suite in this search but unfortunately not this cruise.

On Vista ships, for that matter all the HAL ships, we like the "SA" as close to Neptune Lounge as possible. For some unknown reason, we almost always select port side. Have no idea why, other than habit, but we have been port dozens of times, and starboard only about 3 times.

We have stayed in cabin 7069 for all our HAL cruises and will be there again this February on the Noordam. We like the location very much, close to the stair well and not far from the Neptune lounge.

On the Vista class ships we always try to get a cabin as close to the Neptune Lounge as possible.

The other popular suites are the aft corner SB's and SC's. While the rooms are a bit smaller and they are far from the Neptune Lounge, the verandah's are huge with views to the rear and the side. We were in an SB midship on Noordam last December, and this year we are trying a corner SC.

For those who have been in an 'S' on the R and S ships, but not on a Vista ship yet, the SA's on the Vistas are somewhat smaller than the older ships' S's and as stated above the SB's and SC's are smaller yet.

How much smaller are the SB's and SC's on the Noordam?

Recently stayed in 7075 for Alaska, starboard side. Wonderful! Liked it so much, re-booked same cabin for Mediterranean next year. One of the considerations was the fact that the Vista class ships flare at both ends of the ship. If your cabin is in the center part, but close to the flare, your direct view in that direction will be somewhat impeded. Not a big thing, but it is something. While not as close to the Lounge as others seem to prefer, the distance is still only a matter of a few steps and a little more private (since there's not as many people passing by your cabin going to/from the Lounge).
