Does one tip the driver of a car transfer service? Is it similar to taxi? (which I have read is 10%) Thanks! (We leave tomorrow-- on British Airways-- ugh to Heathrow--ugh. But then to Voyager at Dover--yea!)

Bon voyage Poss. Yes, alas, I think we tipped our driver. Have a great trip!

Poss...
I have made arrangements for transfer services in the past (but always in advance). Those had the driver's tip included in the price.
So...best to check if it is included or not.

It depends where you are and who is proving the transfers. In the US you always tip (unless it is built into your fair). In the UK it should not be expected as most Brits do not tip. If it is a Regent transfer then I would not think tipping would be appropriate.

Thanks for replies-- and thanks for the Bon Voyage, Wendy. By the way, I am from the U.S. (I don't think I ever answered your earlier question). Lived in Buffalo for a few years, in fact. Your Toronto being so close was definitely one of the saving graces of living in that not-terrific (imo) city. Haven't been up that way in a while, but from what I hear Toronto just keeps getting better and better. We liked it a lot even 35 years ago.

Ah, well if it's any consolation when I was a teenager we used to go to Buffalo for the bars (lower drinking age.) And then in my 20's, we went for their great subs, and their outlet malls. In the 50's women used to travel to Rochester to shop for clothing! Things have changed quite a bit. Hope this trip is everything you imagined.
