 has anyone stayed on the upper verandah on the ossterdam? if so,are the ss suites placed in a good location on that deck without much noise and good verandah privacy?

I think the Upper Verandah deck is a good location, The SS cabins on Navigation deck are right under the Lido pool or the restaurant, which could make them noisier.
In addition, the UV deck is two decks lower and should have less motion, especially in the midships area.

We were in 6065 upper veranda on the Oo. Great room, absolutely quite and private! Didn't even need my robe on the veranda at night........ ;-)

We were in SS8086 on the Oosterdam and heard absolutely NO noise from the Lido above.
BTW - This was a charter cruise where we had a big open air disco on the aft lido every night till 2am. Walking up the corridor to the the party one could barely hear music wafting up the corridor but once in your stateroom there was absolute silence.
These Vista-Class ships are very well sound-proofed - I certainly wouldn't avoid any stateroom on Navigation Deck for noise.
