What’s on the Category SS balcony? Are there lounge chairs?

There are two chairs and a table like you would have in a small condo kitchen area to eat those room service breakfasts on!!! Then there are two cushioned chairs with wide comfortable foot stools, padded also. Plenty of room between all the above too. The balcony on SS minisuites are great!

Is there anyway to get a chaise lounge? I would love to lay back and take a nap.

Nope, but the cushioned lounge chairs w/ ottoman are perfect for a quick snooze...

Wyplum, wouldn't hurt to ask your cabin steward as soon as you board. There might be one available.

It looks like the balconies have lounge chairs.

It looks like the balconies have lounge chairs.I believe that picture is from a Vista Class ship on the "AFT" The aft balconys on quite a bit bigger even for Cat. A Unfortuately there are NO SS cabins on the aft. I do not think there are any chaise lounge chairs or that much room on the starboard or port side SS cabins

You can ask for different furniture on your verandah, so ask for a chaise lounge. They'll give you just about anything you want.

Who do you ask? My husband would love a chaise.

Not sure a full lounge chair would fit on an SS cabin verandah. The verandah isn't all that deep. I guess if they could remove most of the furniture it might work because the lounge would have to be kind of sideways. I have no idea if they'd do that or not.

In the minisuites on the Sun and Dawn Princess, they have two piece chairs, but will give you a lounger if you want it. It takes up more space, but it is doable. The balconies for their mini-suites are not very deep but they are long. I would think it would be possible on the Vista Class ships.

We're on the Westerdam in February in an SS.
HAL's SS Suite picture shows two lounge chairs plus a small table and two chairs on the verandah? Isn't that the way it is?

Wild Rose - Not exactly. True there is a small round table with two chairs. The other seating is actually two cushioned chairs....kind of like sunroom easy chairs...with two un-cushioned ottomans. They're comfortable and my wife and I used them several times having our morning coffee. They don't look anything like the lounges in the pictures earlier in this thread. Of course, that was on the Oosterdam and maybe the Westerdam got different furniture. I do know that whatever site we were looking at before we sailed last March had us thinking we were getting two lounges though and we were a bit surprised at first.

Was surfing this morning and found some pictures from another couple's cruise. One of the pictures is of their verandah and it shows the furniture. Now, this is a deluxe rather than a superior so the verandah is a bit bigger and I noticed it has more chairs around the table. However, you can see what the other chairs and ottomans look like. Hope this helps. :)
