Today and tomorrow will be the last day for this year that there will be HAL ships in Seattle, (Tomorrow the Oosterdam will return one last time)
Today will be a great picture opportunity with having both the Zuiderdam and the Noordam together at pier 30 The First and last Vista Class.

You are so right, Lisa; so why aren't I out there at Terminal 30 diligently taking pictures? Cuz it's absolutely POURING rain, and the Mariners are playing the Rangers at Safeco Field at 1 pm, and I don't have what it takes to brave those driving conditions....... What a sopping wet farewell to Seattle the Noordam and Zuiderdam will have.........I swear it feels like November.......
Do you have any webcam links for us today, Lisa?

Karin, that is so very sad:( Unfortunately there are no web cams I can find of the 2 ships. Yes I looked again this morning and did notice the weather was crummy. I wish we could send you some of this great weather we are having. OH MY I just looked again and guess what the two HAL ships are NOT both at pier 30. You can actually see the Zuiderdam at where the Mercury is usually docked, not sure what pier number that is:confused:

Hi,Lisa
Pier 66 is where she's at today. Strange as HAL's operations in Seattle are always geared around pier 30....and htere are no other ships in town today...Makes the shoreside staff work a bit disjointed...
Weather ??? Is the absolute pits in Vancouver, same as Seattle and anything in the fabled ''Pacific Northwest''area....Pity on those poor folks who are ''enjoying'' a short 3-4 days Coastal cruise . Z-dam and O'dam were in Vancouver yesterday along with Mercury....Pitiful weather...but at least not pouring with rain.
We're on O'dam this tuesday...hopefully, things will improve.
Oh well...it's still a cruise anyways. We'll enjoy ourselves.
Cheers

Claude I think that bad weather is heading inland and south toward us so hopefully you will have good weather.
Bon Voyage and have a wonderful time on the Oosterdam:)

The passengers on the Zuiderdam are lucky! Pier 66 is right smack in the middle of downtown Seattle, a MUCH better location than Terminal 30, which is in the industrial port area south of downtown. Sometimes, at the very beginning or end of the Alaska season, when fewer ships are in town, HAL will be able to dock at pier 66.:)
