Just letting those of you who don't yet have your tickets that my T/A just rang to say that they have got P & O to re-issue our tickets and express post them and we may get them by the beginning of next week! Tell your T/A to get P & O to re-issue yours if you don't have them yet. My T/A said P & O were very surprised to know we didn't have them but I am sure we have all either rung or emailed P & O to say we haven't got them.

She has a group from another group from port macquarie and every one got their ticket but 1 Cruiser?? and they said they had sent theirs too with the others. So now they are going to reissue tickets today and should have by monday if not she will contact them again . So everyone who doesnt have their tickets make that phone call

I am going to ring P & O again tomorrow. I was told by them before that our tickets were issued on the 14th September and they could see no problems from their end. Makes you wonder what has gone wrong. It's great that they are going to re-issue tickets but what has happened to the original ones. I don't want to turn up to embarkation and find out there is a double-up or some other disasterous thing. The tickets MUST be somewhere!!!!!!! so who has them???? You know, I have been one of P & O's biggest supporters, but if after all this waiting there is a major problem I don't know if I could do it all over again.

When I found out that I would be printing my own e-tickets, I was a bit disappoined. Bit hard to to a happy dance while the printer is going zzzzzzth, zzzzzzth etc.

After reading all these frustrations, I am now glad I don't have to wait for Ethyl to lick my stamp.

Hope they show up soon,

Cheers
Geoff

You've got love E-tickets!!:D

I was disappointed in 05 when we recieved E-tickets for our trip to the US. To think, only two years ago, many people were still being issued 'real' paper tickets for flights!! I never knew one piece of paper could be worth so much!!:p

Hubby has paper tickets for his Europe flights in November and we got them in January!!! Lots of time for me to lose them.

We turned up to our first Celebrity cruise with absolutely nothing in our hands as it was booked overnight due to all the disasters.

UNBELIEVABLE, my T/A just rang to say our re-issued tickets have arrived. She then went on to say that 3 of our tickets will be in one folder and one in another, this I can understand because one of us has a different surname. She then said, your other people in your group will have theirs in one folder. I said we don't have anyone else in our group. She said you are down here on your file as travelling with the Silcox family. I have never heard the name let alone know them but I bet you that that is where our tickets got stuffed up. I will never use this T/A again, I have learnt my lesson there. I will book direct with P & O in future!

You'll have to keep an eye out for the Silcox family onboard and ask them where your original tickets are:p . You would think if they received extras the would have let the T/A know:rolleyes: .

Who knows, maybe they haven't picked theirs up yet, more than likely sitting somewhere in the wrong file. Anyway, it will give us something to talk about if we meet up with them. Who knows, they may be in the next cabin, that could be why they assumed we were travelling together.

Sorry Jenny:( not with my tickets or my mum and dads.

They may be with my brothers tickets that are still missing from our group though:confused:

P&O told my t/a that the tickets had been posted out on the 27/9 (which is what P&O told me) and to call them if she didnt get them by Monday. T/A told me today that mum and dads tickets came by mail and our's came by courier dated yesterday:rolleyes:

This happened once when we cruised Airtours Sunbird.
Trouble was it was over Christmas New Year period & we were crusing Jan 6th.
They would only re-issue 7 days before- which was New Years Eve.
It was my 60th b'day cruise & I was having a party to arrange as well, so I could well do without the hassle.
I was told they would be at the airport for pick up, trouble it was the wrong airport- that was when I hit the roof!
When we got to the airport they were printed out there!

Yes, things could be worse.

We were watching Airline last night and they showed a couple who were flying out to meet a cruise ship to cruise the Mediterranean. Even though they arrived at the airport in good time and had tickets, the plane was overbooked and they were not allowed to board which meant that they missed the boat.

The airline offered to fly them to Malta to catch the ship on it's first port of call. They agreed, paid an extra 90 pounds and missed the first two days of their cruise.

They were waiting on the wharf in Malta with their luggage, watching the ship get closer and closer, when it decided the sea was too rough and it turned around and left.

Devastated, they flew home.

Yep, things could be worse.

We picked up our tickets this afternoon and we only got 2 folders 'cos they put 3 of us in one because we have the same surname and 1 by itself for my married daughter. We all have different addresses but apparently that doesn't count. We each got folders on previous cruises. Anyway that's no big deal. I had suggested to her that maybe our 'previous tickets' may have been put in the Silcox group but she said that they haven't got their tickets yet either. I imagine that they aren't aware of things like us on CruiseCritic so are just waiting for their tickets to come. Anyway WE HAVE OUR TICKETS!!!! P&O couriered them to the T/A like they used to. Maybe they will give up on Australia Post. Just hope there aren't any further problems like double bookings etc. Those poor people on the Airline show, it would make you just about give up on holidays!!
