Amsterdam Questions

Trying to decide between HAL Amsterdam and Princess Star and just a few questions. What complimentary beverages are available all day, are the pools saltwater or freshweater, are the movies that they play old movies or new releases and is popcorn and coke served, is complimentary hot chocolate available all day and do you have anything to add as to which ship might be better than the other. Thanks so much for your help as this is so confusing....Thanks again

Just off the Amsterdam a few weeks ago.

Complimentary drinks? I'd go by what was available in the buffet all the time: coffee, tea, iced tea and hot chocolate.

Pools are fresh water.

Did not have time for movies, so I can't comment. :)

I have onlly been on 2 cruises: Caribbean Porncess and the Amsterdam. Both were good in their own way. The Caribbean Princess was huge compared to the Amsterdam, but I liked both.

The movies are not first-run, but not very old. On the Statendam 9/16-23 they had Stomp the Yard, Spider Man 3, Live Free Or Die Hard, Ocean's Thirteen, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Fantastic Four, and The Wendell Baker Story. Free popcorn at the movies, but no free beverages there - BYO.

Nice to see some comments about perks on the Amsterdam; we saw her for the first time in April.
