I will be doing the twenty day "COASTAL EXPLORER" with the Amsterdam.:D I would be most appreciative if someone could tell me were to buy the following: 1. Good quality Lapis jewelry
2. Poncho's
3. Gaucho hats
I still have one Poncho that I bought when going to school in Bogota and that was 56 & 57.:eek:

They are ideal for the Alaska cruise also. As warm as toast.:rolleyes:

If you just want a cheap plastic poncho that packs small, I suggest stores like Dollar General or Dollar Tree.

Can't help with your other question. Would like to do that trip someday, and also hope to sail on the Amsterdam. I have heard such positive things about her.

In the Holiday Inn Santiago there is a shop which sells leather goods similar to what you specified and another right up the street aprox 2 blicks. Don't know whether you will have time to go into Santiago since you will be sailing from Valporizo.

Now, if you were going to BA, have a number of places...but you're not.
