I have read that movies are shown in the theater (with free popcorn!). Are they first run, just off first run or oldies? Seen any good movies onboard lately?
Thanks in advance

We've seen some good movies on board. They will not be truly first-run, however. Usually they are movies that have recently been released to video. You'll also find a variety of different showings on your stateroom TV.

As of two weeks ago. There was 50 first dates, Something's got to give,Hidalgo, Secret Window, Spartan, The Prince and me, and Miracle.
Not first run, but not on video yet either. The movies are also played on the cabin TV's. I don't know if they run edited versions in the theatre, but I know the cabin version's have been edited for a more general audience.

Titanic was shown on all Hal's ships and proved to be a very popular. It was packing them in. :)

Along with Titanic, The Rev and I both watch these movies before taking a cruise. It puts us in the mood. A couple of people thought we were a little strange. :D

I haven't seen Titanic yet. Please don't tell me how it ends.

A few years ago I was given a personal tour of the QEII. The gentleman who escorted me told me the movie Titanic was the most often requested movie they had ever shown. The funniest story was one night when they were screening the movie while they were sailing in the North Sea. They were actually navigating through an ice field at the time. He added that at dinner that night, just to push the irony to the limit, they served iceberg lettuce. :D :D

On one cruise, one of the officers was a Titanic Buff. He gave a great lecture with a slide show. It was well attended.
