Just FYI....there will be three ships in port that day. HAL, Carnival, and Princess (all disembarking pax and embarking for their next cruise).

Allow extra time and extra patience. :)

Especially if you are looking for long term parking! Expect all of the available spaces adjacent to the pier to be taken by 11am. See additional parking at the airport lots (with shuttle service to the pier) at: http://www.portofsandiego.org/sandiego_maritime/cruise/parking.asp

We have known this for awhile. It is why the rates at the Holiday Inn on the Bay almost tripled for that weekend. It is also during fleet week.

That is going to be one busy port and airport that day!!

It's not often that San Diego gets 3 ships in on the same day.

Isn't Fleet Week over ? I know it goes for more than a week, but I thought the air show last weekend was the final event.

SD Fleet Week is 9/17-10/27. Not sure why it's called "week" but then again, $2 Chuck cost $3+ at Trader Joes. :D
