I have booked my first HAL cruise having sailed RCI exclusively in the past. I have booked cabin VA8141 on the Navigation deck. It is right at the back of the ship. Can anyone tell me if I made a good choice. I was wondering if the people standing on the Lido deck above this cabin can look down into it. Thanks!

People at the aft railing of the Lido deck will be able to see some of your verandah (about 1/2 I think) but not into your cabin.

If you want to be nautical about it, that's the stern or the aft, not the back of the ship. :D

Enjoy the Westerdam ... we certainly did!

Last March my husband and I were in aft cabin 8129. We absolutely loved it. It really wasn't an issue with people looking down on us. Our balcony was mostly covered. We never had a problem with trash blowing down on us or any noise from chairs being moved at the pool. We've stayed in several differant HAL cabins we liked this the best. We have aft cabin 8134 booked for our March, 08 cruise. And tomorrow we are leaving on the Zuiderdam in a SS suite--a first for us!
