OK...finally getting excited about this cruise

:D Hello all.....and getting an email and phone call saying " YOUR DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN MAILED" helps too!

I have been trying to get myself excited about this upcoming cruise.....maybe I had a rought week at work? :rolleyes: ....but now, after speaking to my TA..the docs were mailed yesterday....it puts things in a different gear:D .....and I decided to change hotels....I was going to stay at the Riverside Hotel on Las Olas....but went searching the internet and decided to check out the Marriotts.....and called their 800 number...and they had a better price on the phone than what was listed on the web!....so I am at the Marriott Marina:) and I can walk to my FAVORITE restaurant for dinner.....(Bravo on 17th Street).......have been there twice...I love it there!
And the hotel is right on the Water Taxi Route as well!

And 5 weeks from today....I will be trying ya'lls favorite cruiseline!
Just wanted to say......things are looking up! Thanks for letting me vent!

I think this is privately owned.....because we have a Bravo's here too but its not part of the one in Ft Lauderdale.

And, I met a friend of mine this morning who I sailed with back in March:D . He is taking his daughter and a friend of hers on a Carnival cruise out of Jax today.
They drove down from Ohio....and were in Daytona Beach so on the way back here we had breakfast this morning!
It was so nice to see him again! They went on the cruise and I went out to the beach...got a really cute top to wear on embarkation day:) ....Its a pullover but much nicer than a "regular t-shirt"...it has a beautiful design on the front...a golden knot across the front....within 2 blue stripes...(white background). The knot goes around sort of an image of a wheel of a ship;) ...and within the wheel is sort of a silver glittery design...it is hard to explain but it is definitely in the nautical theme! The design is not too big or garrish....it is tasteful.....and oh..the BEST PART......it was 50% OFF!!!
It was a 35.00 top......I only paid 17.50!!! Yippeeee!
I think I will wear a nice pair of shorts and I have starfish earrings and I will be ready to sail:D

Enjoy your cruise. We are about six weeks from our document dance. Just made the final payment on Friday.

Lois, I know you will enjoy your cruise. The tough part is the waiting over the next 30 days:eek: For me it tends to drag for others it goes by quickly. The only days that fly by for me are the days on the cruise.
I too am really looking forward to your review when you get back.

Lois, you know what the worst thing about your cruise is gonna be? You're going to end up with two cruiselines you love and you're going to have even more decisions to make about when and where to cruise. :D

Hi Lois....I think if you go aboard planning to enjoy the cruise experience, you will have a good time. I have enjoyed every cruise I have taken, no matter which line. I took my first cruise on your home line...Celebrity...this summer and really enjoyed it. There were some differences between X and HAL, but I concentrated on the things I liked best about Celebrity and refused to make item by item comparisons. I hope you will find some things you like about HAL and have an equally great cruise.
