Spurred on by Texed's tales of waitlisting, I finally reserved the cruise we've been eying since we got off the PG in April 07.

I'm waitlisted, too - for categoy "F" :) Right now I'm in a "D"- that's what I get for waiting until a year before the cruise sails to book.

Out third time around - first the 7 day, then the 10 day, now a 14 day!
They better not offer a 21 day in 2009.....

I know there's a couple more other CCers out there on this cruise.... I get the feeling a lot of the passengers on these longer cruises are repeat Pgers.

Oh wonderful! My TA has told me that F's and C's are the first to go. We always book an E, and they last longer. Same as a D, one deck down. Looks a great itinerary! I would love to see Tubuai.

I have been on the PG twice and would go again in a heartbeat!!

Hubby and I just booked this cruise as well. We've also been looking at taking this trip for many years. Finally did it because of an email from SportsDiver magazine with a notice that Jean Michel Cousteau will be lecturing and leading dives during this cruise. We are in a cat E waitlisted for a C. Pre-cruise will be 1 night at Intercontinental OWB. No post-cruise, just a day room at the Intercontinental awaiting our flight back home.

My wife and I will also be on that cruise. In a D cabin. First time on Regent. Our 30th anniversary. My parents, who are avid cruisers, are joining us. Looking forward to a wonderful adventure, especially with John-Michael Cousteau onboard!:)

Are you diving with him?

DW & I will also be on this sailing. First on RSSC and 33rd overall. We splurged for a Cat. A and will be anxious to see how the PG stacks up to Oceania, Seabourn & Silversea. I know that O is not in the same "class" as Regent, but that is the line on which we have been sailing as of late, and on which we are booked in 2009.

We are also on this cruise, along with 2 other couples who are friends of ours.
Everyone in our group is a diver, except me. DH and I did the 7-day trip for our very first cruise 8 years ago and have been wanting to do another ever since :D All in our group are in Cat. C.

To the OP, I am a former librarian, myself!

Glad to see so many other cruise critic members on this sailing! We'll have to start an official roll call closer to the sail date.

I'm also glad to see M. Cousteau on board, especially since we've now heard all of Mark Eddowes' lectures:) Although we don't dive, we do snorkel and swim and kayak and this last time my husband even got up on water skis on motu day.

We're not doing any pre or post cruising this time. Last time we stayed just one night at the IW in Tahiti -it was perfect for one day, but we were really just antsy to get on board. 14 days on board should scratch my PG itch!

Just 46 weeks to go!

My hubby and I will be on this sailing too. Our 3rd time on the PG. We are addicts.:)

We don't dive but we will snorkel as often as possible. We booked early and got a category C cabin, as we have always had in the past.
