Does any one know if you can book a cabana and pay by check rather than credit card, I want to book one but surprise my husband!!;) :D

You should call ships services and inquire. I think, even if they agree to it, there could end up being confusion and when you get to the ship, their could be some hassle.
My suggestion would be to give the check to your TA; have them call and request what you want and they can charge it to their account. DH would not know and you would have the TA'S confirmation of your reservation and payment.

Nancy - most checking accounts these days have check cards associated with them with either Visa or Mastercard associations. What about using one of those to book?

Holland America doesn't take checks on the ship but you can reserve the cabanas through ship services ahead of time. If you have a travel agent, having them purchase it with a credit card is definately the best way to go about it.
