Need some help from my friends....HAL (and other cruise lines) recommend not booking your return flight before a certain time on the day of disembarkation. Is it 1:00 PM?

Reason I'm asking is that I'm getting ready to book my flights for my December cruise from Port Canaveral. I'll be flying into Orlando, which means on my return I'll have the 40 mile trip on the shuttle back to the airport.

SW and Delta are my only non-stop options. Delta has a flight at 12:05 PM, which I'm thinking may be a bit too early, and SW has one at 3:50 PM. Longer than I'd like to stay at the airport, but it sure beats missing my flight.

I'm sure someone on this board has the info I'm looking for. Thanks!

Roz,

Sorry, I can't answer your specific question; but, don't forget you need to get to the airport early for security reasons. And, in December, WDW is a VERY popular place and this adds to the airport crowds. Plus, any delay just getting to the airport will add time.

Dolores,

Sounds like the 3:00 PM flight would save me from having 50 anxiety attacks! I'll just bring a juicy novel with me and enjoy the down time.

Roz,

Think you've made a wise decision.

Another great indoor airport sport is 'people watching' and Orlando provides some doozies!!!

Good decision, Roz. Who wants to end a wonderful cruises stressing out over whether they will make their flight home.

Hope you have a great time.
