Sir, two years ago you and the wife did the Rio-Seattle cruise. From reading your different threads, I can see your very knowledgeable on the land tours. May I ask a favor of you and ONLY at your convenience please. Would you tell me what tours you found most interesting in the following cities. Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Valparaiso, Coquimbo (La Serena), Arica, General San Martin (Peru), Callao, Guayaquil and Puntarenas (Costa Rica)
Any knowledge that I would be able to receive from you, I will be truly grateful.

I am not a good one to comment on tours.

My knowledge of BA comes from spending a lot of time there on business. The same goes for Santiago. In both places two years ago, I spent time with friends except for the Argentine gucho outing, which I cannot recomment as I have previously spent time on working estancias.

All I can suggest is for someone who has never been to a place is to take a half day city tour which will at least give you an overview of the area.
