I have a friend who is going to be on a Holland cruise in December. She wanted to know which color of cabanas would be closest to the visitor's center. She is taking her elderly mother and wanted to rent something that would have easy access to the visitor's center. Thanks in advance!

I believe the 1st cabana is called "taupe" by HAL. It has a stable walkway that leads down into the actual cabana. My friends and I had the dark blue (#2) and noticed many people following the path right into the cabana...but I'm sure it was designed for people with mobility issues. We we in the turquoise cabana, which is two down from the taupe...and love every minute of it. Have a great time. :)

What a great site this is! It took 4 HAL cruises before we found out about Cruise Critic. We always had questions and thought we only had the TA and HAL to turn to for answers. It seems that all we have to do is think of a question and the answer appears on this thread. For example, we had questions about the cabana rental on HMC and there it was. Thank you folks for all the help. One of these days we will think of a question that has not been yet answered on the site.
