Hi, I just returned from the Crown sailing. Overall, the weather was great. We had showers for a couple of hours one day. The other days were perfect. We did hit a storm on Friday coming back and there were about 8-12 foot swells. Several people were sick. I took a Draminine and had no problems at all. It's a smaller ship than I've ever been on and you do feel the movement.

I'm going to post a review as soon as I get a chance. We had a great time!

Thanks for your reply.Am a little afraid of the weather.Last year we sailed on the Dawn and had great weather.Which cabin did you stay in?I have a cat cc on the marina deck.Am hoping for a great trip.Am very happy that you enjoyed yourself.

We stayed on the Coral Deck (Rm 4038). It was a typical outside stateroom. We had plenty of room for the 3 of us and lots of storage. The nice thing about Deck 4 was it was the deck that you left from when you were at port so when you came back from the beach, you headed right to the room. Our friends stayed on the Penthouse Deck (room 1020). There room was much hotter than ours. I'm not sure if it was the air conditioning system or the fact that it was higher up. Maybe a combination of both.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

Thanks.

I thought the food and service was great! No complaints at all. I saw the Dawn at the port and it is huge compared to the Crown. We had a great time on the Crown but I probably would go back to the bigger ships next time. There is only 1 small pool and so many chairs around it that it's hard to walk around. We managed to get deck chairs from people leaving or by taking a chair that had a towel on it but was unoccupied for several hours. I refuse to put up with the chair saving sh** that goes on. I saw a group of older ladies do the same thing after walking around the ship for 45 minutes looking for somewhere to sit. I'm not talking about the people that get up for lunch or a break.

We didn't go to many of the shows. The comedian and juggling act was funny and the kids and adults enjoyed it.

I was afraid to pull up to port and look at the ship after hearing it described in one review as a war torn battle ship. I thought a lot of the negative reviews were a little much. Some people will always find something to complain about. The ship is older and the rugs in the hallways a little faded from wear but it is clean and well maintained. They work on it non stop.

I couldn't believe how fast the check in/out process was. We were off the ship by 9:15. Picked up our bags and handed customs our form and were on our way.

I haven't really downloaded them yet. I didn't take many in the ship. Someone on this site sent me some. I don't know if you got them already but I could EMAIL them to you. Let me know.
