I started to have problems shortly after 1 PM - eastern time. Gave up after awhile and moved on to another cite. Tried to come back here - no luck -- so I gave up and went out watered the flowers.

Came on again a little while ago - still having problems.

It has been slow off-and-on for me all day. A few hours ago it gave me an error page saying the database was down when I tried viewing a forum. When I tried again a few seconds later it was working again - but still periodically going slow.

i have had the problem since yesterday .. and i get these errors about timing out ... etc ..

Intermittent problems yesterday and today here also. My theory is that Tropical Storm Noel has generated a flurry of posting and viewing activity that is overwhelming CC's server. If I'm right, problems should go away in a few days.

I've had problems also...Did a long post & it showed as gone through, but it never did..So posted again..

Hammy bumped it up & now two show..I've asked the Moderator to delete one..

On another thread my short post is no where to be found..

I think you are on to something, here. If this is the case, it's understandable and I wish there was mention of it on the "front page" to discourage posters from opening multiple CC windows and making is worse.

I had no issues today ... until I tried earlier to respond to your post. Couldn't do it. Seems better now.

Yep! It was slow for awhile. Now it seems ok.

No troubles today, but then I just came on, but for a while now I have had to resign in every time I came back to the computer. Now I discovered that if I use Firefox that doesn't happen. I never used to have that problem with Safari until recently.

Thank you all for posting. I thought I was entering the twilight zone last night and/or having some critical brain freeze.;)
for cruisin judy: I also use Safari and when it is slow, I move to Firefox. Same for both browsers last night - but only at this site.

Do you think maybe, just maybe, I am a little too eager?:D

Yup, having problems. Very slow this a.m. & answers posted showed as not going through when they did go thru-twice.
