after waiting some time to get my tickets, (I'm in canada) i got them in the mail, and the side of the envelope had been opened and tickets are missing.
I have called my TA, but they have not gotten back to me. I sail dec 8. just wondering if anyone has ever cruised "not getting their cruise documents"?? I have gone through the steps on HAL's website, for booked guests.
i am worried that the next documents won't make it on time.

Wow. I have never heard of such a thing. Don't worry about receiving them in time, we booked last minute once and they were overnighted to us.
Good luck and bon voyage!

The ticket is not necessary for boarding. All you need is to know your booking number. Bring a copy of your invoice number which shows booking nomber and final payment. Bring your passport and you're good to go.

One caveat to this is vouchers. If you have transfers, hotels, air booked thru the cruise line HAL may still require you have your vouchers in hand. Check this with the cruise line, not your TA. TAs are often not up to date about cruise line requirements. Some lines, Princess for example, no longer use vouchers, but they do recommend you bring a booking summary listing land/air purchases.

If you use the online check in on HAL's web site and print your boarding pass you do not really need the actuall cruise tickets. All you will need to board is the printed boarding pass, your passport and credit card.

Thankfully since you can do everything on line - even register your credit card, you won't have to worry if the second set of documents don't arrive on time.

As long as you do the online immigration, haveyour passports and credit card as well as ID for all the members in your party you will be fine-oh, and your bookign number. We booked a disney cruise once and didn't get the tickets before we left since we booked 3 weeks prior to sailing. They were waiting for us when we got back home. We had no problems boarding. I'm not sure what someone can do with the boarding passes that were removed from the envie, but I would CALL HAL directly to find out

I would be very careful about filling in any information Online if you have lost the Cruise Tickets. The tickets have your Name and Booking Ref:- and if you fill in your Passport and Credit Card numbers, someone could login to the site and get access to them.

I know that the Passport number is available to view and change, not sure if the same applies to the Credit Card number.

The docs are a formality and give us something to play with before we cruise.

I don't bring my cruise documents to boarding and I don't fill out online immigration forms, before hand.

I usually board after the rush and don't cause a delay for others.

I don't recall getting any 'tickets' per se. It was just the booklet with all of the information and contract (cruise docs). I was expecting something like we used to get with plane tickets, but it was just the book. Also, if you really have concerns, I would place an actual call to HAL, not use the website.
