Has anyone booked and completed this non-CCL excursion? I am afraid that I wont be off of the ship in time...Do I have anything to worry about? Can anyone give me any additional info I should know about it? I booked this for my 1st cruise on the Elation in December. How's the weather then?

We just got back (8/8/04 Carnival Paradise) and loved the Xstream cave tubing. Our guide was Thomas and there were only 10 in our group, as opposed to the very LARGE groups with CCL. We got personal attention and were given info on plants, etc. Even saw a tarantula! The walk is easy but it is very humid! You will be so glad to get into that water! Don't worry about getting back to the ship on time. The guide is very aware of your time constraints and will tell you to "relax, you are on vacation....let me do all the worrying!" You really do get to see an extra cave. Have a great time!;)

We used X-treme in May. Richard was our guide also. I too was worried about the time and the tendering. However I learned that they know exactly when your ship will arrive and when they depart. I even received an email about a week before we departed changing the time of our excursion to accomodate the ships time. Richard was great. Talked the whole way to the caves, while in the caves, and the whole way back! He was very knowledgable about Belize and very interesting. We only had 12 in our group and we did meet up with the ships excursion before we got to the caves and they must of had 50 or 60! My only suggestion would be to get in line to tender as soon as possible because that way as soon as everyone is in port and ready to go, your excursion will begin. They whole thing is about 5 1/2 hrs. Have a great time!
