The movies arnt that new release. Last cruise was in December and the movies shown where "the break-up", "harry potter 4", the jonny depp "charlie and the choc factory" , "stick it", "step up" and a whole bunch of others. i have never seen a movie that was just released on a ship.

Hope can figure out what i mean!

The one and only time i've ever used the cinema on a ship was our 2nd cruise. We saw "Finding Nemo". It was still on in the cinemas at home at the time, but only just. So I guess what i'm saying is they're new but not brand new ;)

they show movies in the cabins similar to on fox, where they keep looping them through all day but with different movies each day.
The cruisers will tell us more when they come back this weekend (Bit of a deja vu there)

Ah, that would have to be the cinema on Pacific Sky!! We saw Shrek 2 in the Pacific Sky cinema - about 10pm on the last night of the cruise - the motion of the ship and the lateness of the hour put me to sleep about halfway through the movie.

It's a shame they've taken the cinema off Pacific Dawn - movies in the show lounges just don't have the same feel.

Those movies sound great and they are all new. A couple of them aren't even out on dvd yet.

I enjoyed watching a movie in the cabin, if I wanted to relax!

I loved the cinema on Pacific Sky. It was good to watch a movie there. I also usually fell asleep during the movie because of the rocking of the ship.

that give me some ideas so I proberly won't go and see any movies until I cruise. I enjoy taking time out to see movies while on holidays

Just back from the Dawn and the movies they showed in the International Show Lounge have been out for some time. They showed 2 'R' rated movies, 'Vacancy' was one, in the afternoon which surprised a lot of people and showed the PG movies, at 11pm or later. ????? That's just one of the things we are trying to work out.

I loved it too. So much more atmosphere than a lounge or bar! I did baulk at watching "Finding Nemo" on the Star though as the ship was pitching & rolling in heavy seas!:D

On Sapphire Princess last March the movies hadn't been released in Australian Cinemas yet. We saw one called "Driving Lessons" which has been showing here only recently
