Am I the only one who has to zap out popups constantly on the new site? I remove on and another one comes up. It has something to do with winning a trip.

Not a single pop up on this site. Maybe you could use lavasoft's Adaware program and Spybot and remove the pests?

I am experiencing pop-ups also, when I have not in the past.

Could you have been "hijacked?" I have never seen a pop up here, and only this week used Spybot and Adaware for the first time, so that isn't what has kept me from having them.

Go to www.registry-cleaner.net... Click on 'Pop-up blocker' in the green header and follow the down-load directions.. I've had it 3 months now and it's blocked 1117 of them to date.. Do it now though, as this reply may get pulled if CC is behind the pop-ups on this site... Bombero

I haven't had a problem on the boards; it's been on the Cruisecritic home page.

Never had these before the site was changed. I get them at home and here at my job. We have pop-up blocker at home. This ad that pops up is asking me to register to win a free trip and it keeps popping up time after time.

When I go to the CC home page I have another window open up with their newsletter. Aside from that I've never had any pop-ups from this site.

The google toolbar has a dynamite pop-up stopper, AND it gives you google access all the time!

Now...it's not happening. Someone must have reported it and it has stopped.
Thanx

You probably don't realize it but this site also uses 'doubleclick' and 'bridgetracker 'to keep track of visitors. The new version of Spybot teatimer program will show these trackers and allow you to diable them. I sent an email to the web host asking why they did this but got no reply.

The Gooagle toolbar keeps the newsletter pop-up away.

Pop-ups generally not a problem for me - but then I don't understand a thing about these computers.

I am a AOL user and have the Blocking Pop-ups set. But the new CC first page is comming in with pop-ups. I hope someone can do something about it. Penny

As a Macintosh user I have non-user activated pop-ups blocked in my Safari control panel. hence, I only get those pop-ups that I click for. :)

We have NEVER had any "Pop-Ups" neither on the new or old CC board!

 Wonder why some folks do?

I've had pop-ups for the last two or three days when looking at the cruise reviews.

Just tried it, there are still pop-ups when I go to the cruise reviews. They start as a little header at the top of the page and then take up half of the screen, and they take a few seconds to load, even with DSL, so you have to wait to find the place to close them. If this is going to continue, I will have to consider going elsewhere for cruise reviews.
