We are booked on the NOORDAM for Oct' in a "C de luxe" forward facing handicap cabin on the boat deck.
Does anyone know if the beds can be converted from twins to a Queen? The cabin description says yes but that is for the regular C cabins, I can not find any info on the forward facing cabins. I am aware that they have only a shower and no tub which is just fine for us. If this can be done who do we contact and when? Any disadvantage to either set up?
If anyone has first hand experience of this accommodation your comments would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am checking with Holland America for you. I'll have an answer by tomorrow unless we are under water by then. I think they are twins that convert to a queen but I want to double check for you.

We always ask for the twin set up, find there is much more room in the cabin that way....jean

Those cabins do not have twins. They only come in a queen configuration. Don't worry it will be just the way you want it.

We used to take cabins 200 or 201 on the Upper Prom deck on the Noordam and Nieuw Amsterdam and loved the forward facing cabins. Only problem with being on the UP deck was that people tended to try and peek in our window as they walked by so we had to keep the curtains closed at all times. You won't have that problem on the Boat deck.
There will probably be a note in your cabin to keep the curtains and drapes closed at night when you have lights on in your cabin as this somehow affects the (I don't know what you call it - but has something to do with the Navigation aspect) and as the Nav deck is right above you it probably affects it more.
One of the things we liked about the UP deck was that we could walk right outside - it was like having your own balcony - that was long before they had the ships with private balconies.
