Scuba in Curacao

We will be in Curacao in early February and was hoping we could get a recomendation from the group of a good dive shop to go with....would love to hear your experinces as well...Thanks!

My personal favorite is Caribbean Sea Sports at the Marriott (www.caribseasports.com), but I think most cruise people go with Ocean Encounters (www.oceanancounters.com).
The first is very warm and personal and the second is probably more organized.

I have used Caribbean Sea Sports and enjoyed them very much, its nice after if you want you can do a shore dive for no additional cost.

I love the Dive Bus. Mark and Suzy are safety conscious, professional, very nice and FUN! I dove with them last year and will again in January.

I could access caribseasports website but couldnt get onto oceanancounters. Anyone have anyother suggestions or comments about either of these?

Hi!

I'm cruising in February, and will be visiting both Aruba and Curacao. I'll only be diving at one of these islands. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which has the better reefs, fish, etc?

IMO, Curacao easily has the better diving.

We booked and dove with Dive-bus. Mark and Suzy are really fun and very nice to spend the day with. Email was very fast [as long as the island service is up and working].

We paid the taxi $4 per person to get there and less than that going back. The ride is very short.

Plan to have your own dive camera incase they run out as it happend to us.

Everyone really enjoyed the dive and those that are not already certified are planning to get it done this summer so on the next vacation we can go for longer dives.

Mark is VERY good at working with anyone not sure about diving. I had minor problems getting used to it all and he was really good about not rushing me and waiting till I was ready.

Will dive again with mark on our next visit to the lovely island of Curacao. :D
