Elton John impersonator - Zuiderdam

Hi ! We'll be on the Zuiderdam on August 28th and this entertainer is getting great reviews from past cruisers... is there a way to confirm he'll be on our cruise ? My husband is a huge Elton fan. I contacted ships services (the 1-800 number) but they weren't able to tell me. I don't know when they change entertainers and I thought maybe someone here would have an answer or let me know where I can go to find out. Thank you !

Can't help you with your answer, but I do know that some entertainers do not stay on a ship very long while others may be on for a few weeks. Depends on what kind of contract they sign.

We had a lady piano player on our Oosterdam cruise in Feb/Mar and part way through our May Maasdam cruise she joined our ship.

Maybe he will be on the Statendam in October??

I was on the 07/31/04 - 08/07/04 Zuiderdam cruise, and the Elton John impersonator was great! He did mention that it was his last week on the ship. He was going to do some Danish royal performances in Europe. He had his children with him on the ship. Perhaps he will be back. He was even better than Elton John (as of now). His voice is like the "younger" Elton John, and he can even play the piano when lying under it! I hope you get to see him.:) ;) :) ;)

The 7/31 cruise was his last week for a while. he was extremely good.

He is touring in europe for at least 3 weeks. I do think the cruise director said he would be back at some point, but I am not sure it will be in tiome for your cruise.

I heard from someone on here that Joel will be appearing at the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver at the end of this month so won't be on the Z. :( Maybe in March.

We saw him last march on Veendam... He was our favorite show on the ship !!

I'll be on the Z on the 28th also, and just heard today from my brother and his family how great "Elton John" was when they went last month...so for about 5 hours today I was really looking forward to "vouched-for-great" entertainment.

I saw Joel on the Veendam in April and loved his shows. He did a late night show in the Crows Nest that had us dancing, laughing, and singing the night away!

Just returned from 8/14 Zuiderdam and Elton was not there. He will not be back on for a while. There was a so called comedian with a duck instead. He was awful...so much so that half the people walked out on his show.

California,:) there is a new post about his schedule. Looks like he will be back at the end of this month...of course that poster might not be giving correct information.....but it looks legit.
I sail on 9-11.....hopefully he will be there then;)

Sorry, I gave you some bum info. Joel WILL be returning to the Zuiderdam, he'll get on in St. Thomas on August 30th. He'll be on for four weeks, then off one week and back on for six weeks. That's it for the rest of the year. Hope that fits with everyone's schedule who was hoping to see his show. (I get to see him myself this week!)

Is that 4 weeks including the 9/25 - 10/02 sail, or will he be off as of 9/25. I'm on that sail and was really really looking forward to seeing him.:confused: :( :confused:
