This is as good as, if not better than, a written review!

Thanks very much, and thanks too to the author of the clip.
Much appreciated.
Wife and I watched it and she's says we're starting to get excited!

Oh, the OV2 doesn't look much like the OV1 inside.

Dunno why he didn't like Isla Margarita, it's great. You probably need to do a ships' tour though, not sure if you can unless you are fluent in Spanish.

Thanks, great clip. Aplmac - do you also use the expression "we are not amused"? :D :D Yes, of course
but don't see how it fits in here?
Maybe I'm being dense?

Sorry, aplmac, it's my sense of humour - 'she says, we are starting to get excited'. (thought you'd said it!!)

Three mornings a week or thereabouts
I wake up around 6:15, down a quick glass of juice and am out the door
reaching the Bridgetown Port environs about 5-7 mins. later.

Camera in hand, I watch my various floating cathedrals enter the Port
satisfying any 'cruise-urges' because of the sheer proximity of it all! :)

I'm not too excited just yet, hope you understand
but then it's only 12 days 18 hrs. 37 mins. and 14 secs
until I board just after Noon(before you lot?) on Jan.2nd.
- but who's counting the time? :D

Honestly doubt I'll suffer the same insomnia on the night of Jan.1st
that many UK cruisers do on the eve of the big event
and shall probably deliberately do the early riser thing
and be down at the Port before 6:30 on the day of my cruise
- hopefully to catch My Ship coming in, if only photographically.

By then, the cruise-urges will be thumping my heart
and it'll be a very special thrill that morning, yes!

It's a real privilege I enjoy
to stand on the rocks at the corner of our Barbados Flour Mill complex
to watch and photograph these gigantic man-made vehicles slowly approach the island
as I fantasize about travelling on one or other of them, some day!

Just last week, as I watched Costa Atlantica do her slow manoeuvre
backing into her berth, displaying the multi-starred flag of the EU
I thought to myself...Cor, I sure could do HER!

Coping mechanisms are psychological 'head strategies'
suggested to people in need of simple non-chemical cerebral occupation
and photographing cruise ships with regularity
is my coping mechanism.
Those of you who live near Southampton might try the same
but for those of you in the Midlands, you have my heartfelt sympathy.

Be brave my fellow OV traveller, it won't be long now.
See you on board.

Aplmac, i live in Yorkshire..;) dont feel sorry for us, we have fantastic folk originate from 'Barnsley' Freddie Trueman, Nora Batty, Parkinson, Charlie Williams, where the pudddings come from (haha) the nearest we get to a cruise ship is the many narrow boats on the local canals around here, they are very brightly coloured and pretty though, we have friends who live on one...lovely lifestyle! 'ee by gum lad, i'll se thee reight reight sooon'... as we say':D

OV2 cancelled our booked trip on isla margarita but if you get off the ship & walk about seven minutes around to the right facing the port there is a lovely little beach with mangroves & shallow sea, absolutely teeming with fish, watch the pelicans plunging in to catch the fish almost in front of you, facinating, when you get hungry there ir a very good bar restaurant on the beach,
Brenda & Rob:)
