Hi everyone,
I am currently packing our toiletries bag for our cruise. It is starting to weigh a ton!! (and my makeup isnt even in it yet). Can anyone tell me if the pacific sun gives you shampoo and conditioner or do i have to pack that as well? So far i have packed:
Toiletries – toothbrushes, razor, razor blades, brush, soap, deodorant, dental floss, toothpaste, sunscreen, Insect repellent, makeup, tweezers, baby powder, hairclips, panamax, bandaids, Laxatives, Heartburn tablets, After sun spray, drugs from doctor (lomital, stematil, Maxolon), ear cleaners, ear plugs, antiseptic handwash, 3b cream, savalon.
Sorry for the yellow, i copied it out of my packing document and all the yellow is what is already packed. Any suggestions for anything i have missed?
Cheers,
Kirsten

I would definitely take your own shampoo & conditioner. There has been conflicting reports about whether you get sachets or not. But I don't think the quality of the shampoo & conditioner is any good.

Charmain:)

As Charmain says, take your own shampoo and conditioner. But you can leave the soap at home. They provide soap, just the small cakes, but good enough. :)

if you are not flying there is no restriction on weight.
I always pack my shampoo/conditioner etc in ziplock bags just in case of spills.
you could try taking a smaller bottle and leave it on board to give more room for the extras you "might" buy.
we have to take two lots because kids are in a separate cabin but i have bought a shampoo/conditioner mix all in one bottle (sunsilk i think)
if you use the huge hairdressers brands decant it to a smaller bottle or use a different one for your cruise.

Kirsten, they had sachets of shampoo and conditioner in the cabin bathroom, but I take my own cos I am fussy, Andy used the sachets but they were never relaced:confused:
There was a really sunburned girl near us and the steward was giving her sachets of aloh vera gel so I guess you only have to ask if you need something.

I used three separate bags - one for obvious bathroom stuff, one for medicines & bandaids etc, & one for sunscreen, aerogard, pegs etc. They didn't have shampoo on Pacific Star a couple weeks ago, only body wash & soap

Kirsten, your packing list sounds great. Pretty much everything i'll also be taking :D
I've always taken my own shampoo & conditioner, but like Chez, I too am fussy ;) I never take the giant bottles though, I just squeeze some into a travel size bottle (around 200ml) and always have enough. Hubby and I both wash our hair every day (twice if we've been swimming). You've seen how long mine is and we still manage left overs!!
For all the other things that come in large-ish bottles like the after sun gel, aeroguard etc, I offer the same advice ........... try to fit it into smaller travel size bottles, or just buy the smallest one you can :)
By the way - 56 days to go and you're packing already? LOL! You're as bad as me hehehe!:p

Kirsten, on one of our cruises we 4-shared and one of our room mates well, to put it nicely, created extremely bad smells in the cabin. We think all he ate was cabbage or at least it seemed that way LOL.
From that day until this, we always take Nilodor, even though we have only cruised as a couple since that occasion. It is available in a small bottle or a spray pack.

I have a couple of smelly deodrant things to take for our cabins. even the swimmers etc can leave a bit of a smell even allowing for having teenagers in a cabin. Lucky we have our own cabin
