If they sell in segments, I might be interested in the Singapore to NJ leg.

Hope they make it "all inclusive" or at least all inclusive except alcohol.

Hi Floris !

Wow, thats one heck of an itinerary. I'd love to do just about any part of that ! Being that it ends in NJ, it sounds like Azamara may be considering a return to Bermuda for Journey in 2010.

Andy - I like you're thinking on ending in Cape Liberty and Bermuda for 2010. It was real nice sailing into Hamilton on the Journey Repo this past fall.

Not sure if you are aware that when the cruise initially opens for sale, it will only be available as a full World Cruise (all 112 nights), before it opens up for the individual sectors

Andy, that was what I was thinking. My best guess for Journey's new schedule:

winter 2008/2009: mix of Caribbean and Panama Canal cruises
summer 2009: Bermuda or Europe
winter 2009/2010: a few Caribbean cruises, a Panama Canal cruise and the World Cruise
summer 2010: Bermuda

I am saying this because this winter's Quest cruises sold really well, and Journey's cruises sold really bad.

Hi Floris !

I agree with your list. No matter what Azamara does, they MUST consider letting their Panama Canal Sailings be either or both of the 2 options :

1. 14 Nights - Ft Lauderdale ----> West Coast. Next sailing, West Coast back to Ft Lauderdale.

2. Perhaps a few 10 Night Partial Panama Canal from Ft Lauderdale Roundtrip.

Yes, I did say Ft Lauderdale instead of Miami, as I am pretty sure that all of Azamara's Florida departures will eventually be sailing from Ft Lauderdale. In the Royal Caribbean Press Release a few weeks ago, they mentioned that Ft Lauderdale was going to see more departures from Royal Caribbean (Genesis Class) as well as Celebrity and Azamara.

Whatever they do, Azamara should NOT end Panama Canal sailings in Acapulco. Not only did they not sell at top prices, but we have heard numerous complaints about sailings ending/beginning there. On the other hand, the Caribbean pricing has been quite respectable.

As for the Summer months, I am sure it will all depend upon how strong the demand is for Europe this season. If they do well, I would expect Journey to be back in Europe in 2009. Even if this happens, it looks like Journey has a good chance of being in Bermuda in 2010.

Hopefully, we will know more in a few weeks !

Thanks for posting that, Floris. What an itinerary! Most of those segments look longer than my workplace would encourage, but I can dream. While I'm dreaming, I'll also dream that my wallet could handle that trip. ;)

I hope many of you are correct about Bermuda. It is a very relaxing and enjoyable cruise from NY. The island itself is also magnificant.

Thanks Floris for the schedule but it looks like the world tour for 2010 is already down the drain for Azamara, per a post from Andy. At least this time Azamara is making a decision early and not shooting from the hip as they have been doing this past year. At least it is a step in the right direction.
