Does anyone know when she is schedule to sail? I haven't heard too much about her, and I can't find anything... :(

Sometime in 2006, I read somewhere.

Ekerr,

Funny you should mention the new Noordam. Do you remember when the Zuiderdam was introduced? You would have thought it was the end of the world! Mass defections from HAL were predicted, but over time, it seems to have grown on people. Loyal HAL cruisers on this board who said they would never book on a Vista class ship have done so and even liked it.

There were a few comments when Oosterdam came into the fleet, and barely a sound with Westerdam. By the time Noordam is rolled out, thousands of cruisers will think the Vista class is the norm.

Roz-

How right you are! It seems as if the Vista class gets better and better with each ship. By the time the Noordam comes around, she may be the queen of the seas :)

I would like to book her maiden voyage, so I hope we start to hear more about her...

Really looking forward to seeing information about the Noordam. We sailed on the current Noordam for our tenth and 15th anniversaries. Would like to sail on the Vista class Noordam for our 20th anniversary in 2006.

They're having the best revenue year in their history.

Our very first HAL cruise was on the current (soon to leave the fleet) Noordam.

We look forward to sailing on the new Noordam. If I remember correctly, I think I heard her Inaugural may be scheduled for March 2006.

I, too, am very interested in sailing on the Noordam's Maiden Voyage and have been very frustrated in not being able to get any information, even out of Seattle. I wrote a letter to the Director of Fleet Deployment asking for information, and received a very nice reply from him(via Margaret Binnendyk) stating that the Maiden Voyage itinerary is still in the planning stages and not yet available.

I find it "odd" that a few days ago a CC poster said that she had the complete 2006 deployment plans for the entire fleet. When I returned to the Boards, that post had been "moved" and I have not been able to find where it was moved to.

Is there a reason for such secrecy that I don't understand?

For whatever reason, my post to this thread yesterday did not "register". So--Bump.

Yes ... but it's a secret. "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you." :D

I don't remember any such post, but you might be thinking of one (it's here (http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=58830&highlight=2006)) which asks when the 2006 schedule will be released. The consensus is that it won't happen until next spring.

Planning a maiden voyage this far in advance is foolhardy, at best. Many a slip twixt the cup and the lip, you know.

dakrewser,

Nope, that is not the thread to which I refer. Thanks for your help, anyway.

revneal,

Ha, ha! I love your sense of humor!!!

Sail-

I had no idea your first HAL cruise was on the Noordam! I know you did not care for the ship all that well, but at least you cruised again on HAL. :)

I am really looking forward to her Inaugural season. I hope we will be fortunate enough to sail her. :)

I believe "Jazzsea" posted she had a 2006 schedule, but it probably lists only existing HAL ships.

TedC,

Yes, that is the thread. But, what happened to it? The implication of her message was that she had deployment information for the entire fleet. I assumed that would include the new Noordam.

When I clicked onto the thread after "the thread has been moved" icon was in place, I was directed to a restricted area of the board that would not allow me to enter. As I said before, I thought this odd.

Any ideas, anyone?

I thought it was 2005 schedule and some new specials...

Carol-

If you have the 2006 schedule, can you help us?

Thanks :)
