We're sailing Journey on 9 Feb and we are trying to get some info on the TV's on board. We're in a Cat. 2A, Deluxe balcony cabin.

We are wondering if anyone who has cruised Journey can answer some questions about the TV's.

Are they HD? If so, is there an HDMI input? What brand are the TV's?

Are the RCA/Composite inputs open or blocked?

Can we manually select an input with a button on the TV or do we have to use the remote to do this?

The generic pay movie remotes that hotels supply usually prevent one from selecting the input. We will bring a programmable generic remote to eliminate this possibility.

We like to stay in upper body shape playing with our Nintendo Wii and we want to make sure we can plug it, our DVD player and digital camera, in to the cabin TV.

We were informed today by Jennifer Schult of RCCL group customer service, that the 23 inch plasma TV's have RCA, S-Video and HDMI inputs and these inputs are not blocked.
We look forward to seeing our videos and digital pix on these TV's. We're also bringing a small "upconvert" DVD player (along with an HDMI cable) and our Nintendo Wii. We'll also bring a mini generic remote (and it's code book) to be able to easily select the inputs.

Interesting response from RCCL. Here is a photo of the side of the LCD in our Journey cabin in October. I highly doubt they have changed the displays.

I saw no readily accessible HDMI input, only L+R audio, composite video and S-video. They are correct that they are not blocked, however unless you bring your own universal remote there was no way to change the inputs.

To you who are going on Quest...except in Suites...the TV are in the cabinet where the old TV's were and almost impossible to hook anything up to it easily, but are HD I believe. If these hookups are on them I didn't see them as it's fairly tight in space it's in.

Thank you for the photo. It's very helpful. Have you posted photos of your trip on the Internet for the public to view? If so, could you provide us a link?
