I don't have acyrlics, my own nails, and would like a plain ole manicure if it is not outrageously expensive. My regular gal here is out of town this week. I got a manicure last week, but they are already looking funky. I leave Sunday on the Veendam. Thanks.

Hi Marie,
According to my ship board bill at the end of my March cruise this year it was $20 for my manicure.

I have the best pedicure gal here($30 plus tip). Unfortunately, she is out of town this week, so I had to get my pedicure last week, and don't feel as fresh, LOL.
Will definitely book a manicure appt :).

Followed by a massage? The hot stone massage is to die for.

Oh, Allison, I have heard that about the hot stone massage. I have only had regular massages here, on occasion. What was the cost of the hot stone massage, and how long did it last?
I am getting the feeling that I am adding an extra L in your name, am I?

Marie-
My experience (I've heard otherwise on Maasdam) on Noordam, the gal did a fantastic job with an American Manicure polish, $8.
We were on for 16 days, I needed a new polish and got a fantastic polish, one of the best I've ever had - wish my gal at home could do the same... :)

ekerr19 - Is it just a polish change, or something more? Can you be more specific? Thanks.

Just got back from the Westerdam. Had 2 hot stone massages. FABULOUS!! Price was $159 each, and the massage was for 75 minutes.

Thanks Suzieque...I couldn't quite remember the cost of the massage but I DO remember how totally relaxing it was. If it's within your budget, Marie I highly recommend it.

I am thinking it is not currently in my budget, especially after booking another cruise this week for Oct 31 - Nov 12...on Celebrity, Horizon. The solo rate was just too good to pass up. Thanks, ALL.

Marie-
I just had a polish change... I thought it reasonable for an American Manicure change... I tipped $2, for a total of $10. The gal was very nice - I read on these boards the manicurists on the Maasdam were not so nice and could not do a good polish change. I think the cost of the manicure includes a polish though...

What I found was interesting was that the therapist I used for massage and facials seemed to be able to discount published rates... First time i had that happen.I never asked as I did not know it was even a possibility. Of course nothing is free. I did buy some products which I never do ! That lead to a discount on services .... Have no clue of how widespread this is but it was only my expereince.

Does anybody remember how much they're charging for haircuts? I've had my hair cut a few times on Cruise ships ... but I don't remember how much they were asking, and don't know if the prices have gone up (and I would expect that they have). Anyone remember or have a list that will tell?
Thanks!

Rev, I don't know what a man's haircut costs but I paid $75 on RCCL's Brilliance in 2002. A great haircut, though a little pricey I thought.
