Upgrade notification

We have a guarantee vh cabin and was wondering how to find out if and when they assign cabin numbers? Noticed there is only 4 vh cabins and wondered what our chances are of getting an upgrade? Have never been at the front of the ship before....how bad are these cabins? :)

You may not know until 1 - 2 weeks before the cruise -- maybe will not find out anything until you get to the ship.

Our Suites have always been near the bow -- yup -- you will feel the motion to the ocean.

Is there not any way we can find out? We are scheduled to go on March 8th....we may have to talk with our TA to see what she can do? Think it is possible to get an upgrade? We were on the very back on our Alaska cruise and was a little nervous about it but it turned out very nice!

Have you done your online check-in yet? Usually when your cabin is assigned it will show up there under cabin #. You can keep checking , I haven't looked for ours yet, but we don't sail til late April.

IMO your chances of an upgrade are good. Somebody will end up in the 4 VH cabins, but it could well be sombody who was moved there from an inside or outside after you were moved up.

The main disadvantage of cabins 4001 to 4042 are the steel-wall railings. You will have to stand up to see water.

On our three guarantees on Vistas for VE or VD cabins, we were given a VA each time on decks 7 or 8. Good luck!

We had the vh cabin guarantee on the MS Zuiderdam on the Jan 12th sailing. We ended up with a VC verandah stateroom, which we were quite pleased with, as did another couple that we met. Our cabins turned out to be toward the back of the ship. We found out about 2 weeks before sailing our cabin number when filling out the immigration form. Hope you have a great cruise!
