I have a sailing on the zuiderdam 9/25-8/2 in an inside cabin and was wondering what amenities do they have in the cabin (example. Hair dryer iron etc...)
thanks for the help :p

Hi Sweetpea. You will certainly have a hairdryer, but not an iron. HAL discourage passengers using irons in their staterooms because of the risk of fire. There is no self serve laundry on the Vista ships but I seem to think there may be an ironing room on the Zud and the Oost. The laundry rates are however very reasonable. Have a great trip.:)

No laundry room - no irons or ironing board on the Vista class ships.

There will be conditioning shampoo and body lotion. Bath and face soap.

Hairblower as mentioned above, in cabin safes, robes and makeup mirrors are in all cabins.

Is there something else specific you want to know about?

Sweetpea....Your TA should contact HAL with requests for whatever it is you require. I know they will provide baby food, diapers and the like.....at a price. I recall a post her within the last few weeks talking about how costly a poster thought the items were. It would be up to you to decide if the convenience of not having to lug it all with you is worth whatever the price is.

Your TA should be making arrangements with you for your ease in caring for your baby.

You may wish to read back a few pages of this board (or do a search) to look for the thread re: baby provisions available from HAL.

Sweetpea...

The cruise line will provide a crib for your baby and a highchair in the dining room. You must have your TA request the crib.

I suggest that you pack some of baby's toys and diapers in your suitcase and pack an extra suitcase with babyfood and other foods that baby likes.

You will want to bring the stroller, too.

We will all help with your questions but you should also contact your TA and advise them of your needs.

Good luck and happy cruising.
