CC website states that you can bring wine and champagne onto HAL ships with a ten dollar corking fee. Has anyone done this? When do you pay the fee? Is there a limit to what you can bring? We also have small bottles (splits) of champagne any ideas on if they would allow this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can bring as much wine and champagne on board as you wish -- limit in size or amount.
The Corkage fee is $15 per bottle which includes the 15% gratuity. Your wine steward will bring the bill to your table near the end of your meal.
Some people have reported that some wine stewards charge only once -- but these same people have also said that they tipped the wine steward on the first night in cash.

It is not too complicated. You can bring on any amount of champagne or wine. No limit other than what you can carry or you feel is safe to pack in a suitcase... if you want to risk breakage.
For anything you consume in your cabin there is NO corkage fee. If you take a bottle to the dining room the wine steward will open the bottle and serve for you. After dinner he will present you with a cheque for the $15 corkage and it will be charged to your onboard account.

Doesn't matter when the questioner doesn't bother to search to find the other 300 times this information is posted here!
