Has anyone ever used their discount coupon given by CCL for those holding at least 100 shares of stock?

If so, what were the restrictions?

Thanks!

What discount coupon given for owning CCL stock? We own their stock but have never been given a discount coupon.

Do you mean "ship board credit"?

We haven't used it in a long time since we switched to Am Ex Plat.

Not to butt in, but you mentioned using Amex Platinum. I read on another thread a while back about using Amex Plat card costing in the neighborhood of $395 per year (give or take a few dollars for the cost). My question is whether or not you have to book through American Express or can you book through your regular TA using Am Ex Platinum and get the shipboard credit. I went to the Am Ex website and looked this up and even called and found out little or nothing..customer no-service it's called.

Your TA can call Amex who gives them a code number (I forgot its name) to give to HAL for the shipboard credit.

CCL will give you an on board credit for owning 100 shares of stock. I have received this stock on board credit many times.

The annual report states "not combinable with any other shipboard credit. Employees, T/A's and anyone traveling on a reduced-rate are not eligible."

I have no idea what reduced-rate means but most people receive the credit.

On my last cruise I did not receive the credit. We had an incredible last minute rate and Hal did not allow for the stock credit.

I think I have only heard of this happening only one other time to someone on these boards.

What is the amount of the CCL credit? Was disappointed with HAL policy regarding the platinum amex credit. We booked a suite and another cabin for daughter (40 years old- she is pretty well behaved). For some reason the Nov 2 rotterdam panama canal cruise is sold out, the only thing available was an inside cabin, and HAL won't give room credit for inside cabins.
Agree about amex no-service- when I called to ask about this policy I had to direct the agent's attention their own website- she said she had never seen it.

I don't have the annual report which lists the amounts with me. It is based on the length of the cruise. I think this is what it is:

A 7 day cruise is about 50.00
10 days is 100.00
14 + days is 250.00

I can verify these amounts tonight.

Shouldn't be a surprise, as its spelled out pretty clearly at the Amex Plat web site ("Two-category upgrade on outside staterooms or $300 per suite shipboard credit...)

Our TA uses our Am Ex Plat card to make our reservation with HAL. Then she waits a couple of days and calls Am Ex to get a "tracking" number. We get $300 shipboard credit since we book a suite and are not entitled to a 2 category up-grade. The shipboard credit voucher is included in the documents.

We also get the first night at the Pinnacle Grill free - if we want to go the first night.

Also receive a complimentary bottle of Champagne.

Another question regarding the CCL Stockholder's shipboard credit. Are you able to use the credit more than once a year???? Thanks in advance!
